Once Upon a Deadpool
Deadpool 2 is getting a special edition release in time for Christmas. The film has been edited to be “family-friendly” with the intention of getting a PG-13/12A certificate. As you can see from the trailer, the film features new footage including a parody of A Princess Bride, even including a grown-up Fred Savage.
Ironically, despite all the edits and intentions, the film has been given a 15 certificate in the UK! The film is in cinemas for one day only on the 11th December and it would be easy to assume this is a cynical cash-in. However, star Ryan Reynolds only agreed to do the re-edit to raise funds for the charity Fuck Cancer, with $1 of every ticket going to the charity.
