We would expect that if you are a fan of the 80s and 90s blockbusters we review on Retro Ramble you will also be familiar with the Mortal Kombat gaming franchise that first entered our earth realm back in the early 1990s.
Mortal Kombat is a franchise owned by Warner Brothers that not only got its own big screen adaption in back in 1995 but features many a character that themselves are clearly inspired by the films we typically focus on here at Retro Ramble.
All that said, the franchise is still going strong today and anyone with a console will most likely already be aware of Mortal Kombat X and later Mortal Kombat XL which celebrated the 10th installments via (literally) eye-popping level of gore offered in the finishing moves aka Fatalities.
Mortal Kombat 11 is the most recent addition to the franchise and – sorry to say but it “pulls no punches” with even more realistic graphics making some of these fatalities as shocking (and in many cases funny) as the original game was for us as teenagers back in the early nineties.
Here’s some of our favourite fatalities and brutalities…
The fact that you can now jump into a game with a real person online is a massive plus but nothing beats having your opponent in the same room so if anyone is looking to rekindle this social aspect of gaming MK11 is a great place to start.
Anyways, enjoy the gameplay and please share with any other lovers of MK or fighting games in general.
